REDEEM THE TIME

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

How are you spending your time?

What is on your plate? Go ahead and pull out the calendar or grab your smart-phone.

What is on the docket for March 11, 2013?

Chocked full of obligations I bet. I would wager it is packed with appointments huh? I know mine looks a little on the “full”side.

But before you dive in, before you get behind; embrace the time you have right now and spend some TIME with GOD.

Taking a snippet from yesterday’s talk from Pastor Mark, REDEEM some of your “time” today. The Greek translates REDEEM as "to take full advantage of."
So why not dedicate a portion of it to Jesus?
Let's take full advantage of the TIME.
Carve out a little calendar space; give Jesus a line on the appointment book, set a reminder on that phone for prayer, thanksgiving, gratitude and some praise!

Colossians 4:4

Pray diligently. Stay alert, with your eyes wide open in gratitude.

Often we crowd our days and weeks so severely with “stuff” that we forget that our time is a gift from GOD; and a portion of it each day must be returned to Him in love and gratefulness.

So now is as good a TIME as any to pause and honor Him with your praise. Seek Him in prayer. Ask for direction and guidance. Thank Him for being with you today.

Don’t sacrifice this TIME to do one more check of FACEBOOK or to respond to that text. Give this TIME to GOD.

Don’t lose THIS moment! He has something special planned for it. Trust me!

2 Peter 1:5-9

So don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others. With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus.

Look at it this way.

We enjoy spending time with those that we love don’t we? And if you love God the way we ought to love God, we will want to spend time with Him. So this should be a no-brainer!

So let’s take this moment, this minute and spend it with GOD.

Let’s pray together.

GOD, thanks for this day and the time in it. I want to use it in a way that will please and honor you. Help me to use it wisely. Keep me from distractions. Help me to focus and seek You in all things today. Guide me. Open my heart and eyes for opportunities to share YOU with others in the time You have given me today. Help me make the most of today. In Jesus name…Amen

If you ask me that was “TIME” well spent!

Have a blessed day…

I love you all!
