NEEDED ENERGY

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

So how are YOU doing? 

Tired you say? A little worn down, a little fatigued huh?

Not quite to the top of the hump even though it is hump day?

I get you. Life can zap you that is for sure. Add a little cold I am struggling with right now and nothing sounds better than to curl up with a good podcast/movie/favorite show and just veg for a second. 

But, reality is reality and there is “stuff” that needs attending to!

And I wish I had some magic potion or a quick elixir to jolt us, but trust someone who knows, those “quick fix” potions rarely deliver the goods and the side effects can be brutal!

The reality is that the best of experts can’t tell you precisely what to do when you are a little whipped.

Some surmise your tiredness is from a depletion of energy and tell you that such a problem is cured with an infusion of strength from one of those massive MONSTER drinks.

Some calculate that it is anxiety or stress that is sapping you and they recommend a little exercise or yoga to fix the problem.

But even those solutions sometimes don’t quite “punch the ticket, do they?”

They don't seem to last.

How bout I lend us both a hand today?

How bout we both lean on a rock solid "go to" option for the tired days and the stressful times; the times we need a little boost. Sound good?

It is right there on your coffee table or maybe under a stack of papers on the kitchen counter.

Check in the magazine rack. Maybe the night stand?

It’s your “WORD”. 

There is no greater means for regaining energy and zip than from a “fill-up” from the HOPE found in GOD’S WORD!

…Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope! Romans 15:13 (MSG)

I have discovered that reading some simple validations that GOD loves me, that GOD cares for me, that GOD has my back today (which by the way will be a topic for a future OFH based on a quite interesting interaction yesterday with a new friend and brother), that GOD is in your corner will provide that “powerful pop” you are desperately needing!

Let me give you a couple to get you rolling:

…May God our Father, who reached out in love and surprised you with gifts of unending help and confidence, put a fresh heart in you, invigorate your work, enliven your speech. 2 Thessalonians 2:17 (MSG) 

You see!

There it is! Needed encouragement, promised opportunity, confidence, and freshness!
