FEEL THE FREEDOM

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Missed sharing with you yesterday. Athens by 8:30 makes for an early departure.  However, was BLESSED beyond belief by our friends from SE Ohio! Pray for the work there!!!

Got a question…

Is it time to make a change or two?

Maybe three?

I mean in recovery we ask people to “change everything”. 

Really. we do!

And on our own, it can seem impossible. But with GOD’s help we can! It starts with what I will call "recognition and return."

What do I mean?

Realize when things are off-kilter and off track (recognize) and then return…

Turn to face God so he can wipe away your sins, pour out showers of blessing to refresh you… Acts 3:19 (MSG)

I love that verse!

There is GOD who totally knows what sins we have committed and instead of making us fearful to where we would want to run away, He asks us to run TO Him so that He, through Christ, can wipe the sins away!

Free us again!

And instead of rejection, He offers refreshment! RESCUE!

God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating. Colossians 1:13-14 (MSG)

So, you say you sinned huh? Me too.

Don't glorify it.

Now is as good time as any to own it, take it seriously, and bring it to GOD. And once you do, thank Him for His wonderful mercy and grace and EMBRACE this freedom.

…offer yourselves to the ways of God and the freedom never quits. All your lives you’ve let sin tell you what to do. But thank God you’ve started listening to a new master, one whose commands set you free to live openly in his freedom!

You catch that my friends?

Recognize the sin. Own it. Bring it knowing the FREEDOM NEVER QUITS!

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. – Romans 8:1 (NLT)

Friends we LOVE the first half of that verse!  Especially when we have been engaged in some condemnable things.  But to take the front we also must embrace the back!

Salvation is assured but that doesn’t release us from setting aside the flesh for the Spirit!

So, need a little FREEDOM today! Want to feel it?

Turn and face GOD.

Own the missteps.

Open your heart and mind to the SPIRIT!

Know you are FREE!

Listen to the MASTER!

And never forget that… if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed! – John 8:36 (TLV)
