GRACE FACES

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

^1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Two meetings.Both 90 minutes or so. Perspectives couldn’t have been more unique.

So different in fact that one was with a fella, the other a young lady.

Yet for as different as they both meetings started out… (the fella was feeling a bit low in his faith and the young lady was riding high and looking to volunteer)…as each discussion came to a close, the talks ended up at the same place.

GRACE.

Grace was the assurance that the fella needed in his crisis.Grace allowed us to distinguish between temptation and sin and GRACE became the healing ointment on his convicted conscience.For the young lady, GRACE was her inspiration.She wanted to find a place to share its abundance with others. GRACE was a well that needed to be tapped!

Same GRACE.Different “faces”.

That is what makes GRACE so “amazing”.It heals.It inspires.It cleanses. It clarifies.It brightens. It soothes. GRACE exemplifies and amplifies every good gift that God gives us: forgiveness, redemption, righteousness, a place in His family, healing and comfort.

GRACE truly has many faces

And what is even more remarkable is that GOD shows us all those different faces because He wants to.

No, better yet, He loves to. He wants us to experience them all!

1 Timothy 1:14

But our Lord gave me a full measure of his grace. And with that grace came the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Don’t you love the “all-purpose” power of GOD’S FULL grace?

It opens doors of hope that once seems bolted shut and boarded up.

It teaches compassion and forgiveness.

It calms our fears of inadequacy.

It makes the bleakest of days, sunnier.

It turns devastating mistakes into triumphs!

It is “enough”…

2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient…

How else can you explain two so very different people with incredibly different agendas being satisfied by one simple and amazing truth?

Because it is SUFFICIENT!

Our heavenly Father is not stingy in the grace department. He opens His hand wide to pour out all of the manifestations, flavors and faces of grace upon us daily; evenly “minutely” (if that is a word.) Our job is to recognize and know it is SUFFICIENT to apply it to all the facets of our lives!

So today, can I encourage you to pause just for a second right where you are and acknowledge the grace of GOD.Did he get you to work ok?Does that coffee hit the spot? Or was yesterday a tough one and you could use some reassurance? Did you suffer some loss or pain and could use a little healing? Do you feel like you can’t take one more step and need a boost?

Your particular face of GRACE had a hand in it or is waiting to greet you. And the amazing part is that it is truly sufficient!

2 Thessalonians 2:15-17

…dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip…Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.
