GOD'S REVEALING WORD

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

There is nothing like a little “truth” to clear the cobwebs or to shed light on a “delicate situation”.
GOD’s REVEALING Word does that.

It sifts through our rationalizations.
It penetrates our justifications.
It shatters our misinterpretations.
It offers a cleansing cut to our falsifications.

It is THAT powerful.

Hebrews 4:12 (TLB)
...whatever God says to us is full of living power: it is sharper than the sharpest dagger, cutting swift and deep into our innermost thoughts and desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are.

Far too many times we go seeking answers from experts or seek "pontificaters" who will support our position when dealing with the hard things in life; things like relationships, addictions, and strongholds rather than "doing what GOD says."

I wonder why when GOD’s WORD offers FREEDOM and direction for ALL of life’s struggles.
2 Timothy 3:15-17
There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way…showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up...

I mean Jesus Himself remarked that if we went about…

John 8:32 (MSG)
“…living out what I tell you…Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.”

I know when I get in situations or am faced with counseling challenges when the answers seem evasive, returning to the REVEALING and sometimes CUTTING truth of the WORD instantly changes the tenor of the challenge and offers the direction we are struggling to unearth.
It does take some courage to LET GOD offer the direction for fear it won't align with our desired outcome or aid in our justifications but it is worth it!

“We must allow the Word of God to confront us, to disturb our security, to undermine our complacency and to overthrow our patterns of thought and behavior.” ― John R.W. Stott

Ask yourself.

Are you in the middle of something that needs direction?  How about some hope?  Maybe you have steered yourself into a mess or two.  Perhaps you are trying to justify some behaviors for the sake of convenience that you know don’t align with GOD.

Let the WORD do some needed REVEALING today!

“Until God’s Word becomes a picture that you can see, it cannot become a reality in which you can feature.” ― Benjamin Suulola

I love you all.
Have a great day.

INTERSECTIONS

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“It's funny how, in this journey of life, even though we may begin at different times and places, our paths cross with others so that we may share our love, compassion, observations, and hope. This is a design of God that I appreciate and cherish.” ― Steve Maraboli

... our spiritual life was designed by God to be a community project. Tripp…

GOD built us for meaningful “intersections”.
For when we strengthen others we strengthen ourselves.

They may occur so we can serve.
For when we serve others we TOO are BLESSED!
1 Peter 3:9 (MSG)
…bless—that’s your job, to bless. You’ll be a blessing and also get a blessing.

They may occur to help meet a need.
Case in point…
Just yesterday a couple of brothers went to Springfield to pick up palettes of FOOD. Because of a RELATIONSHIP we have cultivated we were able to BLESS multiple ministries which will in turn bless MULTIPLE people!
...serve one another humbly in love (Galatians 5:13).  I have heard that one somewhere before RIGHT FREEDOMERS?
What happens then?  Our FREEDOM GROWS!

They may occur so we can pray.
When a person knows we pray for them then they know we love them. Heartfelt prayer for others brings out their best for the Lord.

“Remember that everything that happens to you is first filtered through God’s hand. Interruptions can become opportunities. What you might see as distractions God might see as divine appointments. Things may happen that seem so haphazard and distracting to our agenda, but with a fresh dose of perspective, they can turn into precious moments.” ― Lysa TerKeurst

So let’s pray a simple prayer today to prepare us for those “intersections” today; those potentially precious moments.

Heavenly Father, show me how to bring out the best in those I intersect in life.  Let me not take those encounters for granted or believe they are coincidental. Let me see them for the divine appointments they are and strengthen, serve and pray for those YOU trust me with!

I love you all.
Have a great WEEKEND!

HOLY SWAGGER

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“Life is not compassionate towards victims. The trick is not to see yourself as one. It's never too late! I know I've felt like the victim in various situations in my life, but, it's never too late for me to realize that it's my responsibility to stand on victorious ground and know that whatever it is I'm experiencing or going through, those are just the clouds rolling by while I stand here on the top of this mountain! This mountain called Victory! The clouds will come and the clouds will go, but the truth is that I'm high up here on this mountaintop that reaches into the sky! I am a victor. I didn't climb up the mountain, I was born on top of it!” ― C. JoyBell C.

Truth.
Hard truth!

Life is NOT compassionate.
Bible says so…
John 16:33 (MSG)
In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties.

But we are VICTORS because CHRIST conquered! - But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” (John 16:33 - "the rest")
1 Corinthians 15:57 (CEB)
Thanks be to God, who gives us this victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

So while the challenges will continue, walk into them knowing that you are a winner, a conqueror! Walk in to them with your head high because you are actually MORE than that!
Romans 8:37 (ESV)
…we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

The last few days I have looked into the eyes of many who “felt defeated”.

The courts verdict turned negative.
The “drugs” finally caught up and consequences are pending.
The unexpected showed up and it wasn’t pleasant in the least.

Good reasons to feel victimized.
Good reasons to feel defeated.

Are you in the same boat?

GOD HAS PROMISED VICTORY!
GOD HAS PROMISED THAT THESE TRIALS are TEMPORARY and PALE in comparison to the coming GLORY of that VICTORY!  And GOD has promised the STRENGTH to GET THROUGH THEM!

2 Corinthians 4:16-18(TLB)
…our inner strength in the Lord is growing every day. These troubles and sufferings of ours are, after all, quite small and won’t last very long. Yet this short time of distress will result in God’s richest blessing upon us forever and ever! So we do not look at what we can see right now, the troubles all around us, but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not yet seen. The troubles will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.

It is easy to get fixated on the challenges and to be discouraged by the apparent defeats.  It is just human nature.  But can I encourage you to look past the present troubles and look to the FATHER, our VICTORIOUS Father today?
Can I encourage you to walk with confidence and conviction?

For:

“God expects you to have the mentality of a conqueror. See yourself as a victor in Christ Jesus, and go about life with a holy swagger!” - Okoro

GOD is with you today!
GOD has fought and won for you today at the CROSS!
Lift your head!
GET YOUR SWAGGER ON!
No VICTIMS here!
You are a VICTOR!

I love you all.
Have a great day.
