ACCEPT HIS ACCEPTANCE

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“Either you will be getting your identity vertically, from who you are in Christ, or you will be shopping for it horizontally in the situations, experiences, and relationships of your daily life.” - Tripp
Where are you finding identity today?
Position?
Tasks at hand?
Title?
The dependence that others have on you?
It is CRUCIAL that each and every day we find our significance in merely being sons and daughters of the most High GOD. We are in CHRIST and that is enough for today. It is. Trust me on that.
“Christ continually shouts through the universe, "You have a love that is already yours. You have nothing to prove to anyone. You have nothing to prove to Me. You are significant and pre-approved and utterly cherished. Not because you are 'good,' but because you are Mine.” ― Jennifer Dukes Lee
Why is that so tough to grasp some days?
Why are we so performance driven and not identity affirmed?
We will never do enough to “be good enough”. And ironically we haven’t been asked to do that. But we sure do try.
Yet GOD instead gave His best when we weren’t at ours so that we could always and forever be His.
Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV)
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
“If our identity is in our work, rather than Christ, success will go to our heads, and failure will go to our hearts.” ― Timothy Keller
So true...
…identity and my security are not in my spiritual progress. My identity and my security are in God’s acceptance of me given as a gift in Christ.” ― J.D. Greear
Notice a pattern?
GOD is reminding you today of how important and special you are.
GOD is reminding you today that you are beloved.
Accept HIS acceptance.
Thank Him for the mercy and Jesus.
Stop shopping for it “here” horizontally.
Walk in your vertical identity today.
I love you all
