Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“Direction, not intention determines your destination.” ― Andy Stanley
Direction.
We all need it.
I know I do.
Ever been in a place in your life where a different road needs to be taken?
Maybe there is some needed change.
Maybe you have experienced an unexpected turn of events and the tried and true routes of the past no longer apply.
You need some NEW instructions.
You need some NEW direction.
Thankfully GOD offers instant directional assistance. He is way better than GARMIN, VERIZON NAVIGATOR, or most certainly SIRI.
Psalm 32:8(LB)
I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress...
Our task is to not allow our arrogance or perceived directional acumen to take over. We need to submit to GOD’s instruction. We must seek it. We must draw it in, but most of all we need to listen to it and follow it.
Then when the day is over, we are to GOD back to GOD and check our progress. He will have protected and guided us well if we paid attention.
Psalm 18:33 (TLB)
33 He gives me the surefootedness of a mountain goat upon the crags. He leads me safely along the top of the cliffs.
Experience and instinct are important.
Intentions have merit.
But at the end of the day, we all know GOD’s way is best. It promises GOOD.
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
So today the message is pretty simple.
If you are like me, waking up today with a new path in front of you; waking up today when the familiar path will not lead you where you need to go, then seek direction and allow GOD to take the lead!
“Don't bother to give God instructions; just report for duty.”
― Corrie ten Boom
I love you all.
Have a great day.
