GRACE PLACE

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“The best way to handle life, is to put your life in God's hands.”
― Anthony Liccione

Easier said than done.
Got country songs that say “Jesus Take the Wheel”, but we sure like to drive.

Recovery encourages surrender.
Proverbs 3 does as well.
But giving up control is tricky. It asks us to VOLUNTARILY relinquish our control.  That is a tough order for us.

We say things like, “God I am in the middle of this situation and I have a good handle on things, perhaps I should run this one.  Or God, you have too much on your plate, I got it.”

Wonder why?
When GOD tells us…
Isaiah 46:10 (ERV)
When I plan something, it happens. I do whatever I want to do.

And I wonder why when GOD also says…

Romans 8:28 (CEB)...all things together for good for the ones who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

…that we continue to “take the wheel or the handle”.

I was sitting with a young lady yesterday who was paralyzed by “what to do next”.
She was boxed in by circumstances.
She was oppressed.
She felt things had gotten completely out of her control.

That is when I told her she was in a good place.
She was in GOD’S “grace place”.

The grace place is when we have “run out of ways to handle things or no longer have a sense of direction for what is next”; when we are at a weak point. It is there that grace, GOD’S hand and HIS directions are a welcome and comforting promise.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (CEB)
He said to me, “My grace is enough for you, because power is made perfect in weakness.”
THANK GOD!

But GOD is a gentleman.  He won’t take the wheel or assume control until WE engage Him.

Be aware that:

“God has a voluntary relationship with everything, but a necessary relationship to nothing.” God in His grace has reached out to include us in His plan, and we need God. Without God reaching out to us, we would be eternally, hopelessly lost, but God doesn't need us. He does not have a necessary relationship to us; He has a voluntary relationship to us.” – Tony Evans

So knowing this, it is important today that we go back to the thought that opened today’s DISPATCH.

The BEST way to handle things especially when life is beyond our “handle’ is to LET GOD handle things; to ENTER into and EMBRACE that AMAZING GRACE place He has offered us.

Volunteer TODAY to GOD!

“The reason why many are still troubled, still seeking, still making little forward progress is because they haven't yet come to the end of themselves. We're still trying to give orders, and interfering with God's work within us. ” ― A.W. Tozer

So put today in HIS hands, HIS grace place!  HE can certainly handle things...

I love you all.
Have a great day.
