PATIENCE

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Patient?
Are you? Come on! Answer me ARE YOU PATIENT!!!.
Just kidding.
The truth is patience is something we must CULTIVATE; it takes time, surrender and focus. In our very “instagrammy” and to the second news cycle world, it is easy to “get impatient” with patience.
But waiting on the LORD is a “GOOD thing”!
It opens doors to “GOD things” right?
Renewed strength. Lifting! (Isaiah 40:31)
So let’s “patiently advance” our patience today.
First decide right now to allow GOD to direct your path.
Period.
Don’t get impatient with GOD’S progress. Stay steady. Remember, pursuing our plan apart from God leads directly to a path outside of His will and that is NEVER good. It leaves outside of the protection of grace. Impatience pursuits cause us to run ahead of Him and the result is that we will get off track again.
Patience says GOD’S plan is best.
So STAY with it!
Psalm 27:14
Stay with God…Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God.
Second, keep your focus on Him. Don’t get distracted.
People will question why you are so calm, why you are not “pressing the issues” or pushing for answers. Don’t let them influence you. They may even start to question your judgment. Don’t forget it is GOD you are leaning on, not them.
Remember HIS STRENGTH comes when seeking and waiting on HIM.
So process the pressures from others and put them in perspective.
Does this mean we are not to take godly counsel from others? No, but resolve to not move forward until the Lord confirms their advice.
Psalm 37:7 (MSG)
Quiet down before God, be prayerful before him.
Don’t bother with those who climb the ladder, who elbow their way to the top…
GOD will honor your surrender to His timing and path.
And yes, you may be criticized for a perceived lack of action but don’t allow those opinions to move or sway you.
Patiently trusting and waiting on Him is the soundest of solutions.
It WILL pay off!
Romans 5:4 (MSG)
…patience…forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!
“Patience is sometime bitter, but its fruit is sweet.” ― Aristotle
Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!
I love you all!
