HEAR FROM GOD

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

ARE you LISTENING today?

Many of us know that the Bible says that faith comes BY HEARING; hearing the WORD of Christ.
Romans 10:17 (ESV)
…So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
But as Stanley surmises unless we are open to the proposition of “surrendering” and daily “walking” we are likely to MISS what GOD has got to say to us.

So ask yourself, "Have you 'surrendered'"some time for study and hearing today? Or is your schedule SO full that there isn’t time for that?

Or have you paused for a moment to invite the Holy Spirit, GOD’s presence, to WALK with you today or have you inadvertently chosen to “go alone”?

I love how Stanley says if we would take the time to surrender and to invite, if we would be intentional about seeking, praying and listening, we can CONFIDENTLY expect GOD to “show up”, to respond, to walk with us, and to engage.

Too many times our prayers are limited to the “help me list” or “take care of this for me list” and not prayers of “GOD what do you have for me today” or “GOD take me out of the equation and use me today”.
There is that old saying GOD gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason. It is because GOD emboldens and empowers us through listening and NOT talking.
So today’s message is obvious.

Set aside some listening time. Set aside some Bible time.

You have some big decisions to make? GOD is already aware of them. Trust Him to offer direction. Expect the answer to come. Engage the Spirit and be willing to surrender to His prodding.

Got a pesky challenge or situation in your life? An answer and plan have been forged by GOD already. Don’t talk it to death. Listen for guidance. Seek the Word.
You are not alone. So of the best and brightest have been there too.

Make today about hearing and listening and prepare to be amazed at what GOD has to say.
