GOD'S REVEALING WORD

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

There is nothing like a little “truth” to clear the cobwebs or to shed light on a “delicate situation”.
GOD’s REVEALING Word does that.

It sifts through our rationalizations.
It penetrates our justifications.
It shatters our misinterpretations.
It offers a cleansing cut to our falsifications.

It is THAT powerful.

Hebrews 4:12 (TLB)
...whatever God says to us is full of living power: it is sharper than the sharpest dagger, cutting swift and deep into our innermost thoughts and desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are.

Far too many times we go seeking answers from experts or seek "pontificaters" who will support our position when dealing with the hard things in life; things like relationships, addictions, and strongholds rather than "doing what GOD says."

I wonder why when GOD’s WORD offers FREEDOM and direction for ALL of life’s struggles.
2 Timothy 3:15-17
There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way…showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up...

I mean Jesus Himself remarked that if we went about…

John 8:32 (MSG)
“…living out what I tell you…Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.”

I know when I get in situations or am faced with counseling challenges when the answers seem evasive, returning to the REVEALING and sometimes CUTTING truth of the WORD instantly changes the tenor of the challenge and offers the direction we are struggling to unearth.
It does take some courage to LET GOD offer the direction for fear it won't align with our desired outcome or aid in our justifications but it is worth it!

“We must allow the Word of God to confront us, to disturb our security, to undermine our complacency and to overthrow our patterns of thought and behavior.” ― John R.W. Stott

Ask yourself.

Are you in the middle of something that needs direction?  How about some hope?  Maybe you have steered yourself into a mess or two.  Perhaps you are trying to justify some behaviors for the sake of convenience that you know don’t align with GOD.

Let the WORD do some needed REVEALING today!

“Until God’s Word becomes a picture that you can see, it cannot become a reality in which you can feature.” ― Benjamin Suulola

I love you all.
Have a great day.
