Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“When faith replaces doubt, when selfless service eliminates selfish striving, the power of God brings to pass His purposes.”
― Thomas S. Monson
It is the truth. We can't reach our full potential when we are full of doubt.
For faith and doubt can’t occupy the same space in a person’s mind. It is a “one or the other” proposition. The choice is ours. Faith is a “door opener” and doubt a “closer" for sure.
And while the choice might seem clear, we all struggle with doubt don’t we?
Spiritual uncertainty or doubt comes from a variety of sources and that is what makes it a tricky adversary. Maybe it’s un-confessed sin that is the culprit or maybe the enemy keeps pricking us with a lingering guilt. Maybe it is a distraction or misplaced blame that causes us to question our faith or choose to doubt rather than trust. Whatever the source, doubt is damaging but it can be demolished.
How you ask.
Faith.
Simple directed and exercised faith downs doubt 10 times out of 10!
1 John 5:4
Everything that has been fathered by God overcomes the corrupt world. This is the victory that has conquered the world: our faith.
Yet we all suffer from moments of doubt. Perhaps we’ve prayed about a problem, but the solution falls through. Maybe we’ve obeyed God, but our situation worsens. Or a criticism might make us question GOD’s wisdom.
It is in those times that we must re-fasten our faith! Here’s how…
Identify which part of your thinking or attitude is causing you mistrust God. Is it a misplaced feeling? Old wound?
Root it out and then measure it against a time when GOD faithfully carried you through a trial; when your faith produced palpable results! That will lead you back to truth; truth that delivers, truth that inspires faith!
Mark 14:36
Jesus: Abba, Father, I know that anything is possible for You…
Romans 8:31
What can we say about all these things? Since God is for us, who can be against us?
Isaiah 12:2
See, God saves me. I will trust and not be afraid. For the Lord God is my strength and song. And He has become the One Who saves me.
The enemy loves to inject doubt into every possible circumstance. He loves for us to question the nearness of GOD, the involvement of GOD, the intimacy of GOD. But as hard as he tries his tactics disintegrate in the face of faith and under the searing power of TRUTH!
Ephesians 6:16
In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming (DOUBT) darts of the evil one…
So can I encourage you today?
Set your day on the firm foundation of faith!
Allow the truth to infuse and permeate your thinking, feelings, and attitudes. Cling to the hope that faith energizes!
Dismiss that doubt!
“Fear and doubt are conquered by a faith that rejoices. And faith can rejoice because the promises of God are as certain as God Himself.”
- Kay Arthur
And how certain is that?
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
No doubt about it...
Have a blessed day…
I love you all!
