Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Ready to ask GOD to "order your steps" at the outset of today?
Psalm 119:133 (NIV)
Direct (ORDER) my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.
Want to experience some love and confidence? Seek!
Proverbs 8:17 (ESV)
I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.
Seems pretty simple huh?
GOD is there
GOD is available
GOD wants to offer direction…
Psalm 32:8 (NASB)
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.
So why is it that we most days we choose to “go alone”?
This isn’t euchre.
We don’t get extra points for going alone.
But we are a stubborn sort. That is for sure. At least I am. I mean I was just reviewing the schedule for today. Monday’s for me are pretty “set”. I have “penciled projects and meetings” from 7a to 9p today. Most of which are “part of most” Monday’s for me.
Yet today, I was reminded, my plans are just my plans. GOD may have something else in store for me today. I need to pause and ask His input; ask Him to "order my steps".
Proverbs 16:1 (MSG)
Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word.
For yesterday I had a rare “privilege”. I didn’t get to be at choir practice last Tuesday. The choir learned a “new/old” song for Sunday. So since I missed the rehearsal, I “spectated” rather than "participated" yesterday.
Wow!
What a blessing.
The choir brought energy passion and power as they shared a Brooklyn Tabernacle song, “Order my Steps”.
Just check this lyric.
Order my steps in Your word dear Lord, lead me, guide me everyday, send Your anointing, Father I pray; order my steps in Your word, please, order my steps in Your word.
Humbly, I ask Thee to teach me Your will, while You are working, help me be still, Satan is busy, God is real; order my steps in Your word, please, order my steps in Your word.
Bridle my tongue let my words edify, let the words of my mouth be acceptable in Thy sight, take charge of my thoughts both day and night; order my steps in Your word, please order my steps in Your word.
I want to walk worthy, my calling to fulfill.
Please order my steps Lord, and I'll do Your blessed will.
That is some ROCK SOLID counsel for a new week huh?
So I wanted to first say Thanks Thalia, Shaun, Eric and the GAP Choir for such a powerful reminder yesterday and one that needs applied today.
Pause!
And let's ask GOD to “ORDER our STEPS” in HIS Word today!
I love you all
