SHARE LOVE

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

 

Could we with ink the ocean fill,

And were the skies of parchment made,

Were every stalk on earth a quill,

And every man a scribe by trade;

To write the love of God above

Would drain the ocean dry;

Nor could the scroll contain the whole,

Though stretched from sky to sky.

 

Yesterday I encouraged us to EXPECT the LOVE of GOD.  Why? Because GOD is that LOVE!

we trust in the love he has for us. God is love! – 1 John 4:16 (TPT)

 

Such a reassurance!

 

I don’t know about you but there are days when I feel downright UNLOVABLE. But the WORD says I am to STILL expect the LOVE of GOD; that HIS love is EVERLASTING.  And as we re-learned yesterday, even DEATH can’t separate me from HIS love.

 

But today I wanted to unpack what we are to DO with that EVERLASTING constantly FLOWING, OCEAN of INK love of GOD!

WE ARE TO RETURN IT!

LIVE IN IT and SHARE IT!

Friends, we are CALLED to LOVE.

That greatest commandment thing is legit.

Love GOD. Love others. Become expressions and VESSELS of the LOVE of GOD.

 

And I like the way MOTHER Teresa guides us.  

Start loving RIGHT where you are with kindness.

 

Our world is SNARKY.

Our world is ARGUMENTATIVE.

Often it is hard to remember kindness when all around is in just the opposite, but remember you are not bound by your limited supply of LOVE and KINDNESS rather you are equipped and can ALWAYS draw on the ENDLESS supply of GOD’S LOVE, especially when yours runs out.

 

So, some practical things to consider when you are dipping your quill into the LOVE and GOD and looking to share it.

 

More is Caught than Taught

Remember, talk is cheap, and actions always speak louder than words.

 

Actions always Supersede Eloquence.

Folks won’t care what you know until they know you care.

Be the example of Christ, spreading GOD’S LOVE is the way we minister to others. Jesus never just talked about serving…He did it, leaving for an example for the ages.

 

And when you need to talk, remember…

out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks – Matthew 12:34 (ESV)

ALLOW you heart to be a RESERVOIR of GOD’S LOVE and then use your words to build up, to edify, to exhort, and to encourage others. Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29 NIV).

 

So, get out your quills class.

There is LOVE to share!
