Have
you thanked Him?
Have
you praised Him?
Have
you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have
you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know
how, for everyone you know.
Good
to be back today. Took a couple of days
for the Christmas Holiday and family. My
family had to do the “Christmas thing” on the 24th because my
daughters, the amazing and dedicated workers they are, had to work yesterday.
So,
I pray that your CHRISTMAS yesterday was a blessed one! From all the postings to Facebook and
Instagram it looks like it was for many.
Yet
today I thought I would share a little from my church’s Christmas presentation
from Sunday. The title was “Here Comes
Heaven” and it culminated with this song from Elevation…
It
is a song of promise, a promise that was fulfilled over 2000 years ago in that
little manger, a promise that grew to dry tears, bring hope, heal the hurting,
change trajectories, instill confidence, embody love, extend grace, bring salvation and change
the culture forever.
For
“Over all who mourn, Breaks the dawn of
salvation, Darkness reigns no more, For Jesus is greater…”
He
is greater
Because
for every beautiful family picture, for every warmly decorated house, for every
glistening tree, there were still those whose yesterday wasn’t so lovely, wasn’t
so hopeful, wasn’t so memorable. For some it was standing in line as my little
brother served them chili at the church in Florida. For some it was the generosity of strangers
that brought some light to the day in the shelter or in the treatment
center. For a couple of my dearest
friends it was spent in the hospital.
And
that caused me to pause a second this morning and be so grateful for
Jesus. For He is CONSTANT and unwavering
HOPE. He truly is greater. His love, His coming, His dying will always cut through the darkness and the
hurt.
Always.
And
He can ALWAYS be shared. He can always
be gifted even in the most difficult of circumstances. I pray that you shared Him among the paper
and the bows yesterday. If not share Him today!
Remember
that the…
Hope of all hopes, dream of our dreams,
a child is born,
sweet-breathed; a son is given to us: a living gift.
And even now, with tiny features and dewy hair, He is great.
The power of leadership,
and the weight of authority, will rest on His shoulders.
His name? His name we’ll know in many ways—
He will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Dear Father everlasting, ever-present never-failing,
Master of Wholeness,
Prince of Peace.
7 His leadership will bring such prosperity as you’ve never seen
before—
sustainable peace for all
time.
This child: God’s promise to David—a throne forever, among us,
to restore sound
leadership that cannot be perverted or shaken.
He will ensure justice without fail and absolute equity. Always. Isaiah
9:6-7 (V)
Heaven.
I
love you all.
Have
a BLESSED DAY!!!
OPPORTUNITIES for HOPE
