START AT THE CROSS

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“No person [should] walk out into the world to begin the day until he or she has stood beneath the cross to receive God’s love.” ― Max Lucado

Ah there is Max again kicking us off and reminding us of something many of us fail to do or perhaps never had done. That is open our day at the Cross.

Why do that you ask?

Because at the Cross we can unpack and un-tether any and everything that might be still weighting us down from the days and weeks before; release those hindrances, those thoughts, the hurts and burdens before dragging them into today.
Psalm 55:22
Living Bible (TLB)
22 Give your burdens to the Lord. He will carry them. He will not permit the godly to slip or fall.

At the Cross you can quickly repent, confess and deal with yesterday’s failures and failings; clearing the slate for the new day and its possibilities!
Colossians 2:15
God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ’s cross.

Going to the Cross first thing each day allows us to experience and remember GOD’s overwhelming capacity to love us more than we could ever imagine or discern.  Knowing that, carrying that assurance into whatever we may be facing today serves to energize and embolden us!
Hebrews 12:2-3
Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

GOD loves us so much.
The Cross proves it.  We Christians should relish it!
No other symbol, no other event carries the weight and the gravitas of the Cross.  No greater love could ever be expressed. No greater sacrifice ever made.

It is the perfect place to begin today.
It is the perfect place to begin every day.
1 Corinthians 1:18
The Voice (VOICE)
18 For people who are stumbling toward ruin, the message of the cross is nothing but a tall tale for fools by a fool. But for those of us who are already experiencing the reality of being rescued and made right, it is nothing short of God’s power.

I want GOD's power for today.
Don't you?
Start at the Cross.

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!
Love you all.
