DON'T WILT

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Don’t wilt.

The pressures of life can be intense. Jobs, family, brokenness, challenge, frustration, anxiousness, uncertainty, aggravation, and disappointment often “define the day”. We all have experienced times of oppression or have been treated unfairly. All of us at one time or another “didn’t get” the promotion, the recognition, or the outcome we desired.

That is just how it sometimes goes.

But don’t wilt.

Why?

Even though this old world can load up both barrels with as much of its “stuff” it can muster, the truth is it can’t take you out.

1 Corinthians 10:13

…you can trust God. He will not let you be tempted more than you can bear. But when you are tempted, God will also give you a way to escape that temptation. Then you will be able to endure it.

So don’t wilt.

Now maybe you are asking, “So just what does GOD provide to endure the pressure? Just what does GOD offer for endurance?”

FAITH. Pure and simple. FAITH.

The stronger our faith is, the less likely we are to wilt under the pressures of life.

Now I know what you are saying. “Isn’t faith my responsibility? I thought GOD was providing the way out.”

He is.

He encourages us to BUILD our faith and it is our FAITH IN HIM that allows us to never be tempted or tested beyond HIS ability to help us!

So He says. FORGE some FAITH then you WON’T WILT!

Jude 1:20-21

… dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ.

It IS OUR JOB to remain firm in our faith in order to allow HIM to provide the way out and the way to endure!

1 Peter 5:10-11

…So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.

Really give that verse the once over. It all ties back to 1 Corinthians 10:13.

GOD won’t let us down. GOD won't let us be overwhelmed. If we have faith!

The sufferings, the pressures, the trial, and the challenges; they won’t last forever. We can stand firm that GOD will prevail over all of it. He has the last word in all things. That is how we can be sure the pressures of life can’t take us down, they can’t win the day!

So don’t wilt.

Stand firm.

1 Corinthians 16:13

13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith… be strong.

I love you all.
