NO MORE VEIL

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit— makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Before Christ’s sacrifice on the cross only a select few were able to enter the presence of GOD. For the rest of us a veil was in place that separated us. When Christ died that veil was torn and through Christ we, yes we, are now given access to the Father, given access to HIS SPIRIT.
Jesus became our HIGH PRIEST and we were granted this “new access” to GOD; access to new mercy, grace and help.
Hebrews 4:14-16
Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.
I rarely get too “bible-lessony” with the DISPATCH, but I share this little nugget today as a reminder to all of us who are “struggling” with something. And I would dare say that is ALL of us.

GOD is waiting to change things.

Why then are we so reluctant to take what He is so ready to give; mercy for the wrong doing and help to make all things right?

But I am as guilty as anyone of forgetting that.

But yesterday as I was singing in the choir, singing a song whose lyric I was most familiar, a little light bulb went off in my head. There are a couple of strongholds in my life that I continue to let plague me because I FORGET that the presence and power of GOD is available to me to OVERCOME them. I forget there is mercy and help at the ready for me.
The lyric is this…
“Sickness CAN’T stay any longer; Your perfect love is casting out fear. You are the GOD of all power and it is Your will that my life is HEALED.”

For me yesterday GOD through that lyric was saying, “Greg these strongholds in your life don’t need to stay. My perfect love, my PERFECT power over all things SINFUL is at the ready for you. My will is for you to be FREE from them. Won’t you ACCEPT my mercy and allow me to help?”
So I am asking for that mercy and help for today.

Perhaps you too are trying to battle something on your own like me. You don't have to.
Remember, the veil is gone. Remember access to the POWER of GOD is available to you today just as it is me. Remember that it is capable of helping you in your “sickness” as well.
