SINGLE PURPOSE
Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“You can be anything you want to be, do anything you set out to accomplish if you hold to that desire with singleness of purpose.” ― Abraham Lincoln
In recent months as the challenge with heroin in our community and state continues to escalate and we seek GOD for solutions, I have been given the opportunity to have some conversations with representatives of our recently re-elected Attorney General Michael DeWine. So yesterday Beth and I were granted a real honor and invited to attend his swearing in at the STATE CAPITAL ROTUNDA.
During Michael’s remarks he shared this little quote from Lincoln.
It caught my attention for earlier in the morning Pastor Mark of AHOP preached on the IMPORTANCE of FINISHING our course; of EMBRACING our potential and on remembering GOD’s plan for each of us.
Jeremiah 29:11
I know what I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future.
I know what I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future.
But many of us lose sight of this promise.
Life does its best to drain us of our hope. We face discouragements, become distracted, and suffer frustrations and roadblocks. And those things often cause us to forget OUR POTENTIAL, our HOPE, our desires for success and our divine purpose!
We can’t let that happen!
Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do. - Pope John XXIII
Friend, you woke up to brand new mercy today. Don’t believe me, check out Lamentations 3. You have a GOD who is deeply invested in you, loves you and wants to help you achieve ALL that He has for you!
Jeremiah 31:3 (NCV)
I love you people with a love that will last forever.
Jeremiah 31:3 (NCV)
I love you people with a love that will last forever.
And GOD has issued a singleness of purpose that will help you achieve that potential! A purpose that aligns us with Him and allows Him to help us achieve our full potential without fear.
That purpose is to BRING HIM GLORY.
That is it.
1 Corinthians 10:31
…whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God.
That is it.
1 Corinthians 10:31
…whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God.
Therefore:
Got drywall to hang today? Do it with excellence! GOD has granted you the skills and potential to do it to HIS GLORY. He will bless it!
Got drywall to hang today? Do it with excellence! GOD has granted you the skills and potential to do it to HIS GLORY. He will bless it!
Getting ready to don the headset and offer some customer service? Do it with excellence. Give GOD glory in your demeanor, your patter and your help. He will bless it!
You are getting the gist right?
GOD has given us that SINGLENESS of PURPOSE and that is to bring HIM glory in all we say and do. That should be our desire!
He has equipped us to do just that.
So grab the opportunity that is today to honor Him by embracing your potential by embracing your purpose!

So grab the opportunity that is today to honor Him by embracing your potential by embracing your purpose!
GOD wants to see the BEST from you so HE can shower HIS best on you! - Pastor Greg
“God wants you to have a good life, a life filled with love, joy, peace, and fulfillment. That doesn’t mean it will always be easy, but it does mean that it will always be good.” ― Joel Osteen, Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential
I love you all…
