Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate
with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what
He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray.
Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“Dare
to Be"
When
a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When
there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When
there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When
something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When
life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When
there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When
you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When
times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When
love hurts you, dare to love again.
When
someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When
another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When
a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When
you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When
you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When
the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare
to be the best you can –
At
all times, Dare to be!” – Steve Maroboli
Matthew 5:14-16 (LB)
You are the world’s light—a city on a hill, glowing
in the night for all to see. Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let
your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly
Father.
Jesus PRESSED us to BE DARING. Daring light! Daring workers!
See someone thirsty? Give them a drink. See one shivering? Offer a coat. Witness oppression? Offer sanctuary.
He asked us to be BOLD in SERVICE!
Jesus saw HIS JOB as BRINGING light into dark
places. His work backed up his talk ALL
THE WAY to the CROSS.
And HE DARES us to do the same today!
I have been trying to expand a little on the messages
of Sunday into the MONDAY MORNING DISPATCH.
Peter King does it with FOOTBALL with his MMQ column, why not try to follow
suit?
And yesterday between a little message shared by Pastor
Mark in Xenia and one by Ron Philips I stumbled over flipping channels, the
message to share was evident. It is
important that our WORK, the way we approach our VOCATION, EXEMPLIFY
CHRIST.
In other words, the way WE WORK
should reflect our LIGHT-BEARING leader. We should DARE to always do our best!
Colossians 3:22-25 (MSG)
Do your best. Work from the heart for your
real Master… Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you’re serving is
Christ. The sullen servant who does shoddy work will be held responsible. Being
a follower of Jesus doesn’t cover up bad work.
So the message is clear today.
Dare to be YOUR BEST.
Dare to BE LIGHT.
Dare to BRING
GOD GLORY. No time for "half-hearted"
efforts or for bringing anything less than your A-GAME.
“If
you start today to do the right thing, you are already a success even if it
doesn’t show yet.” ― John C. Maxwell
I love you all.
BE BLESSED TODAY!
