MIND GIFT

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

…we Christians actually do have within us a portion of the very thoughts and mind of Christ.

Isn’t that remarkable?

Tough decision to be made today?  

You Christian, have the mind of CHRIST for that!

Uncertainty looming? You Christian, have the mind of Christ for that!

Not sure how to handle a “touchy or potentially contentious” interaction? You Christian have the mind of Christ for that!

The question is will you TRUST it, TRUST GOD or will you lean on your own understanding?

Proverbs 3:5 (LB)

…then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself.  

Truth of the matter is, CHRIST has given us believers everything we need to DEAL with life’s challenges and to achieve all He has planned for us. And since the way we think is vitally important in this process, the Lord was SO "AMAZINGLY AWESOME" to have given us the mind of Christ to HELP and to LEAD us. 

Now all we have to do is remember to think as He does and to see those situations from His perspective.

Sounds easy right?

But not so much right?

But if we are cognizant of this wonderful gift as we embark on each day, thinking with the mind of CHRIST will become easier with each renewing moment!

Romans 12:2 (ESV)

…be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God (CHRIST), what is good and acceptable and perfect.

This marvelous ability to align our thoughts with His is a gift that we receive from God at the moment of salvation. However, like I said, the practice of it is our responsibility. We all come to Christ with minds that are already “pre-programmed” to one degree or another. For example, if when we were kids all we heard was condescending content; it is safe to say our esteem would be shaky at best.  That bank of thoughts and perceptions would most certainly take center stage as we navigate a day. 

Not to mention that Satan tries to inject his lies into our thinking all day every day.

Yet if we are to experience the abundant life the Lord wants us to have, old thoughts that do not agree with God’s Word must be replaced with truth.

And that TRUTH will begin to FREE our MINDS to receive the THOUGHTS of CHRIST!

John 8:32 (ESV)

…you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

So screen the ideas that bombard you each day. Be committed to transforming and renewing your mind to that of CHRIST! Compare your thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs with GOD’s WORD. If they don’t match, reject those wrong patterns of thinking, and fill your mind instead with corresponding truths from Scripture instead.

And why not?

The Lord has “installed” this wonderful gift of “the mind of CHRIST” in us so let’s be sure to leverage it and use it for ALL things ALL day!
