RELATIONSHIPS

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

We were built for relationships.

From the beginning of time GOD offered us a relationship with Him starting with walks in the evening. He CREATED earthly relationships and called it Eve.

Yep, GOD is a relational GOD.

And each day He wants us to start our day by ACTIVATING our relationship with Him in a loving and passionate way…

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. – (Matthew 22:37)

…And then follow that with the mindset and purpose to

Love your neighbor as yourself. (V38)

Can't get more simple.

Love GOD. Love OTHERS...Relationships.

My friends, we WEREN’T built to make this journey by ourselves.

As I shared with my FREEDOM folks last night, isolation is a failed strategy when it comes to recovery and the same holds true in a broader sense for all of us.  We were never wired to “go it alone”.

Ecclesiastes 4:12

By yourself you’re unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snapped.

And it is through relationships, both with GOD and with others, that our faith is emboldened. It is through our RELATIONSHIP with GOD that that we learn more about HIS sovereignty and possibilities and then are able to transmit and translate those to others. 

The cool part is that as you keep learning more about God and other people, you can expect God to lead you on adventures that will challenge you to take risks and trust him in deeper ways. GOD will thrust you into relational challenges that will require new levels of faith.  GOD will open doors of opportunity that will require trust and dedication.

Why?

GOD daily wants to DEEPEN our RELATIONSHIPS!  GOD is a RELATIONAL GOD.

It is when we reduce our relationship with HIM to a drudgery of “do’s and don’t”, “record keeping” and “checking the box” that we get off-kilter or become stale.

GOD designed our relationship with Him to be VIBRANT and every changing.

HE wants it to so ROCK OUR WORLD that we can’t help but share what HE is doing with others to INSPIRE them while energizing us!

Psalms 89:16-17 (MSG)

Blessed are the people who know the passwords of praise, who shout on parade in the bright presence of God. Delighted, they dance all day long; they know who you are, what you do—THEY CAN’T KEEP IT QUIET! Your vibrant beauty has gotten inside us— you’ve been so good to us! We’re walking on air!

So start your day today "RELATIONALLY".

Open it with a prayer of ACTIVATION with GOD.  Invite Him along for the day.  And then ask Him to help you inspire others with your countenance and love!
