Have
you thanked Him?
Have
you praised Him?
Have
you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have
you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know
how, for everyone you know.
I
was providing a little leadership training and encouragement to a burgeoning
recovery ministry team last night and just before I left them to continue to
work on their vision/mission, I shared this little bullet list I pulled from 1 Thessalonians 5 (TPT) as "things to think about" as they crafted their plan.
·
Be
skilled at gently encouraging those who feel themselves inadequate….
·
Be
faithful to…Help the weak to stand again.
·
Be
quick to demonstrate patience with everyone...
·
Let
joy be your continual feast.
·
Make
your life a prayer.
·
Never
restrain or put out the fire of the Holy Spirit.
·
Avoid
every appearance of evil.
Let’s
unpack that for today!
Let’s
be SKILLED at GENTLY encouraging; being faithful to HELP
let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this
by speaking words of grace to help them. – Ephesians 4:29 (TPT)
Demonstrate
PATIENCE.
Remember…LOVE is PATIENT (1 Corinthians 13)
LET
JOY have its way! It is your strength
after all! Nehemiah 8:10
PRAY
PRAY PRAY!
"There are parts
of our calling, works of the Holy Spirit, and defeats of the darkness that will
come no other way than through furious, fervent, faith-filled, unceasing
prayer." - Beth Moore
GIVE
ROOM to the HOLY SPIRIT! Don’t get in the
way of what HE wants to do today!
…the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,
he will teach you all things – John 14:26 (ESV)
And
lastly avoid the evil stuff.
It
most certainly is out there and just waiting to derail the day.
Ask
GOD to help…
Remember
that…lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from
evil…Matthew 6:13 (KJV) prayer?
I
don’t know about you, but this is a good blueprint for today (and everyday
really).
Put
it in motion.
Remember…
Every day God invites
us on the same kind of adventure. It's not a trip where He sends us a rigid
itinerary, He simply invites us. God asks what it is He's made us to love, what
it is that captures our attention, what feeds that deep indescribable need of
our souls to experience the richness of the world He made. And then, leaning
over us, He whispers,
"Let's go do that together. - Bob Goff
Let's!
Have
a blessed day…
I
love you all.
