TRUTH in the TURMOIL

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

If we are going to learn to trust God in adversity, we must believe God will allow nothing to subvert His glory so He will allow nothing to spoil the good He is working out in us and for us. - Jerry Bridges

I am sure that the good work God began in you will continue until he completes it on the day when Jesus Christ comes again. – Philippians 1:6 (ERV)

Before the eyes were barely open today, I had a FACEBOOK Message from a good friend who is a great advocate for the recovering.

And yet her past challenges with substance use and its consequences are still haunting her.  She reached out looking for prayer as she was staring at some real adversity in the next few days.

Court.

False accusations.

Pending judgments.

Slanderous stuff.

And as I was communicating with her, I reminded her of the truths found in the Psalms and in Matthew as a start and that “folks may slander and accuse” but GOD will have the last word and for her to stay steady.

But the more I thought about her, I want to also tell her and any others who are facing adverse circumstances to remember this truth too…that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan to bring something good into our lives…Romans 8:28 (TPT)

Every detail.

Even the tough ones.

Bridges and Paul remind us today of the FAITHFULNESS of the FATHER when adversity strikes.  God is trustworthy. Period.

And while we sometimes must weather the circumstances and wreckage of past indiscretions neither they or our current situation are out of the per view of GOD.

So, we can trust in the turmoil.

Og Mandino once remarked,

Always seek out the seed of triumph in every adversity.

That too is good counsel.

I also like what Ventimiglia said:

If you have your mind in the right direction, and your heart is full of the right kind of stuff, you'll succeed and you'll triumph over adversity, over really anything.

Here is what I know about my friend, her heart is FULL of the RIGHT stuff.  There is no question.  So, I am believing she will emerge from all of this in triumph!

Pray for NJ.

And if you too are in the cauldron of adversity, remember the truth including this one; If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life’s difficulties, you will continue to experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God! James 1:12 (TPT)

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

Love all of you
