SPIRITUAL SIBLINGS

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Family.
It is a blessing from GOD.
I got the chance to hear from one of those “good old boys” yesterday. He was sharing from his heart about someone who had blessed his heart; someone from “the family”.
Now mind you this wasn’t a blood relative he was talking about rather his older sister in Christ. He was talking about GOD’s family. You know that family that GOD sent Jesus to restore?
Ephesians 1:3- 5
How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ.
Really pay attention to that verse for a second. There is some wonderful encouragement in there.
As family we are being offered high places of blessing!
As family we were on GOD’s heart and in His plan before anything else.
He adopted us!
And we should be happy about that like the old song says, "I'm so glad to be part of the family of GOD..."
Friends we BELONG to HIM and since we belong to Him we are then "family" with one another!
And just what does that mean…family with one another? It means we are "spiritual siblings" and as siblings we have a few "family rules"...
Like getting along with each other…
Romans 15:13
May our dependably steady and warmly personal God develop maturity in you so that you get along with each other as well as Jesus gets along with us all.
...and loving each other.
John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
So what do you say?
Let’s treat each other like “family” today. And no not as squabbling siblings, but as brothers and sisters who love Jesus and love each other!
1 Peter 2:17
…Love your spiritual family. Revere God.
Have a blessed weekend, family!
I love you all!
