WHOLEHEARTED and WILLING

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him…

1 Chronicles 28:9 (NLT)

Good sound counsel as we embark upon today.

GOD asks us to convene with Him, honor Him, worship and SERVE Him today.

 And He quickly says HOW He wants all of that to come together.

First, we must worship and serve Him with a WHOLE heart and a WILLING mind.

That requires more than good intentions.  That requires a willingness to wade into whatever the Lord is speaking into you and into your heart.  Whatever it is, GOD says, “I need a willing mind, a willing unction to move MY agenda.”

“Your passion is measured by the difference between your willingness to take actions…― Ayivor

In other words, if GOD has stirred some passion in you, don’t let it be dormant!

And the other interesting part about this passage is that GOD is also quick to remind us that He is “watching”.  He knows our hearts. 

He knows our motivations.

He wants them to be pure and when they are, we will be able to quickly find Him, and I believe able to quickly sense His leading and His presence for the “jobs to do”!!

So, that is why I like reviewing a passage like this first thing. 

It raises some important questions. 

Places us in a productive mindset.

Are we ready to wholeheartedly serve today?

Have we cleared our minds of distractions?

Are we willing to allow GOD’s WILL to be catalyst and director of our worship and service? 

Are we seeking His agenda for the day or our own?

What is our motivation? Are we seeking His face?

GOD is watching.

GOD is at the ready to direct, reset, and open doors.

So, don’t let today dissolve into another day marked by good intentions but devoid of willing work.

Seek the face of GOD.

Trust that He is along for the ride today.

He knows the proper plan.

Follow it wholeheartedly!
