Have you
thanked Him?
Have you
praised Him?
Have you
made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you
taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The
first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone
you know.
Keller
commented that,
"The only
love that won’t disappoint you is one that can’t change, that can’t be lost,
that is not based on the ups and downs of life or of how well you live. It is
something that not even death can take away from you. And God’s love is the
only thing like that."
Paul
affirmed that when he penned, I am convinced that
nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither
angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about
tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. – Romans 8:38
(NLT)
That is
such a reassuring truth.
Because Keller
is right on the money, life is full of ups and downs.
Life is susceptible
to circumstances.
And if our
LOVE is attached to things of this world or things connected to our lives and
NOT on GOD, then that love will eventually disappoint us; it will eventually
leave us wanting or worse yet abandoned all together.
That is why
it is CRITICAL that we REMAIN in the safety of GOD’s love, that we count on GOD’s
love. For that love is limitless,
overflowing with grace, bathed in freeing truth and wisdom. It has no end and it can’t be stripped away
or lost.
In recent
weeks I have met some folks who because of their circumstances and hurt that
they have experienced, they are SCARED to love again and unfortunately SCARED
to be loved as well.
They were
jilted.
They were discarded.
They were
sucker punched.
And when
presented with this ethereal concept of the LOVE of GOD that takes away the
sins of the world, this love that cannot under any circumstance be wrestled or
removed from us, it is a hard pill to swallow.
But rest
assured that no level of skepticism or trial has the chops or the energy to cause
a fissure between you and our ABBA FATHER.
C.S. Lewis
said it this way, “The great thing to
remember is that though our feelings come and go God's love for us does not.”
So why
spend time on this today?
I can hear you saying everyone knows GOD loves us,
that He in fact is love. But I would beg
to differ. Some of the folks I have been
working with this week feel GOD has turned a deaf ear to their pain and THEY
(and maybe you) need a little REASSURANCE.
That this LOVE GOD has for us is boundless and boundary free.
It is always faithful and always on the
clock.
And Bridges
put a nice bow on today’s affirmation or reaffirmation when he said, “God's unfailing love for us is an objective
fact affirmed over and over in the Scriptures. It is true whether we believe it
or not. Our doubts do not destroy God's love, nor does our faith create it. It
originates in the very nature of God, who is love.”
Friend, you
are LOVED!
I love you
all.
Have a
BLESSED day!!!
