Yesterday Pastor Mark, my home church Pastor, made this comment in his talk:
“We were PLANNED for GOD’S pleasure”
And as FOLLOWERS of CHRIST that is so true.
Sproul hit that nail right on the head!
Pastor reminded us that OUR LIVES, the PLANS GOD has for us have PURPOSE and when devoid of our sin, they bring GREAT pleasure to the HIM!
Siting WEBSTER who said that PLEASURE is defined “as a source of delight or joy”, THANKS to CHRIST we ARE a source of DELIGHT to the FATHER.
Often, we get this misperception of GOD.
We see Him as JUDGE and JURY, as this angered blustery and grumpy overseer marking mistakes and taking inventory of our failings with a smirk and frown.
Let me give you some good news today.
GOD is not ANGRY with you.
NO.
He is not.
In fact, He is crazy about you!
God's unfailing love for us is an objective fact affirmed over and over in the Scriptures. It is true whether we believe it or not. Our doubts do not destroy God's love, nor does our faith create it. It originates in the very nature of God, who is love, and it flows to us through our union with His Beloved Son. - Jerry Bridges
Still don’t believe me?
Yet it was something that Mark reminded me of yesterday that I want to encourage you with today. GOD takes pleasure in watching you walk out your PURPOSE. He does. To Him when we find our lane and USE our GIFTS for HIS GLORY, GOD takes GREAT pleasure in that!
Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. – Romans 12:1 (MSG)
Friends I find it deeply comforting to know that I have a GOD who is in love with me despite me.
Don’t you?
And that alone should MOTIVATE us to DO our BEST with this EVERYDAY WALKING AROUND life and make it a REFLECTION of our GRATITUDE of that LOVE He has for us!

Are you seeking motivation for today?
CLING to the AMAZING promise that GOD LOVES YOU, HE CARES for YOU and HE WANTS the BEST for you! And when YOUR life becomes a REFLECTION of HIS Son, when YOUR WALK is obedient and in STEP with HIS purpose for YOU,GOD finds PLEASURE in YOU!
We should be astonished at the goodness of God, stunned that He should bother to call us by name, our mouths wide open at His love, bewildered that at this very moment we are standing on holy ground.
