REPRESENT!

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

^1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Pastor Mark of AHOP said something yesterday that got me to thinking. He made the comment that to be a “witness” for Jesus we should live “on the record”.

To simplify that a little, GOD asks us to be real; to be genuine; to be accountable with what we say and what we do. We are Christ’s representatives after all.

2 Corinthians 5:18-19

We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them.

So REPRESENT!

We are to be about the business of letting others in on what GOD is doing for us. And there is no better way to do that than through…

Our conduct.

Our language.

Our countenance.

Our love.

Our lives.

Remember, and you know this better than I do, it is not so much about “what we say” it is distinctly more important as to how we live!

Philippians 1:27

Meanwhile, live in such a way that you are a credit to the Message of Christ.

So today (and really every day right?) let’s agree to conduct ourselves “on the record”. If you are not sure “exactly” how that looks or what that entails, let me give you a quick refresher and a little guideline.

Ephesians 5:1

Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.
