Have you thanked Him?

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Many of you know that I am a fan and casual acquaintance 😊 of Michael English and his most recent project dropped back in mid-September. The title track is a song that several folks have covered, Mark Lowry, Gordon Mote and Madisa I think, to name a few.
It is called, “LOVE IS THE GOLDEN RULE”.

You see it your way, I see it my way, what if we both could agree that there's a solution, a love revolution, that starts and ends with YOU and ME?
Good message for our times huh?
For regardless of your side of the aisle or your proclivities and sensibilities, one thing is sadly clear, our culture has seemingly forgotten how to love each other.
It is part of the reason my friends from Franklin County and GGA (Greater Good Ambassadors) are crafting the LOVE EPIDEMIC event for November 9.
And while it is targeted at extending LOVE to those suffering with substance use disorder, to changing the narrative and role for the CHURCH and reducing stigma, the message of loving each other is one that we are ALL commanded to embrace!
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. – John 13:34 (NIV)
Look this isn’t an overly PROFOUND or revelatory OFH today. No, rather it is just to serve as a reminder that this GOLDEN RULE, however old-fashioned it may feel is old-fashioned in a good way, like that favorite well-worn blanket that emerges this time a year.
It just feels good.
It just feels right.
Loving others feels that way.
So, there is your simple assignment today.
Let this GOLDEN RULE, rule.
