GRACE'S MARGIN

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

The cross guarantees that even in your darkest moment God will never turn in disgust and walk away. There is no rebellion, no weakness, no foolishness, no evil of heart that the cross can't defeat and grace can't transform. - Paul David Tripp

I must admit, there aren’t too many days when I don’t fully appreciate TRIPP’S insight or Paul’s for that matter.
Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God. Romans 6:14 (TPT)

If you are like me, you have your dark days, right?
Days when the anger gets the best of you?
Days when the selfishness wins?
Days when if you were honest you don’t really want to make the time for others.
Days when you make some foolish choices if even just for a second?

This journey, this path was never promised to be easy.
There are two paths before you; you may take only one path. One doorway is narrow. And one door is wide. Go through the narrow door. For the wide door leads to a wide path, and the wide path is broad; the wide, broad path is easy, and the wide, broad, easy path has many, many people on it; but the wide, broad, easy, crowded path leads to death. Now then that narrow door leads to a narrow road that in turn leads to life. It is hard to find that road. Not many people manage it. Matthew 7:13-14 (V)

Truth is it doesn’t take much to knock or take us off the path.
It can be circumstantial, or it can be the result of a choice or two.
It IS tough road to manage.

I was lying in bed and watching a little of the Olympics with Beth last night before drifting off.  The PRECISION of these athletes is astonishing.  Doing things on razor blades and skis that I couldn’t dream of doing.  The margins for error are miniscule and with the tiniest of bobble or miscalculation the GOLD is often lost; years of training diminished in a blink.

When watching that it makes me grateful for grace.

Not so I have license to sin (Romans 6:1) but rather I have margin for my frailties.
Prince says it this way…
The law condemns the best of us; but grace saves the worst of us.

It truly is AMAZING grace huh?
Something I know I don’t deserve but greatly appreciate especially in the dark days; the “off the path” days.

Can I encourage you to do something today?
Thank GOD for His remarkable grace.
Thank GOD for His remarkable patience and love.
For remember:
Grace is the vehicle God uses on occasion to ensure that we get precisely what we DON’T deserve. - Andy Stanley

Have a blessed DAY!
Love you all!
