Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and
cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for
what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray.
Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into
enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to
clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into
a friend.” - Melody Beattie
Man, that is good.
I know I ALWAYS NEED to unlock a little gratitude
each and every day.
I need to see GOD’S clarity beyond my confusion.
I know I need to pause and remember the great
gifts of GOD.
No room for grumbling which I did TOO much of yesterday.
Not proud of that.
Just being honest.
Got to remember to not
…get thrown off course. Every desirable
and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light
cascading down from the Father of Light. There is nothing deceitful in God,
nothing two-faced, nothing fickle. -
James 1:17 (MSG)
GOD hasn’t pulled the rug out.
GOD hasn’t become fickle as Peterson says.
GOD hasn’t set anything before me or us that
doesn’t have purpose, that doesn’t have opportunity and meaning.
So, before any grumbling sneaks in it is crucial
to instead say thank you. That is the right and HEALTHY response!
Saying thank you is more than good manners. It is good for you
spiritually. - Painter
Therefore...
thanks be to God, who in Christ always
leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the
knowledge of him everywhere. - 2
Corinthians 2:14 (ESV)
Gratitude will ALWAYS move the needle from
frustrated to flourishing, from beaten to blessed, and from overwhelmed to
overjoyed, from disenchanted to delighted.
Brian Tracy says it this way…
“Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that
happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving
something bigger and better than your current situation.”
And while this is truly a simple and even
well-worn thought we must take it to heart!
Instead of thinking about what we think we are
missing or what “should be”, let’s focus our attention on the goodness and the
present blessings and providence of GOD; that where we are currently is a part
of the bigger plan!
Therefore let’s
…taste of His goodness; see how
wonderful (GOD) truly is.
For:
Anyone who puts trust in Him will be
blessed and comforted.
Psalm 34:8 (V)
Have a “great-full” day!
LOVE YOU ALL
