AT THE TABLE (10.14.2015)

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
While traveling to and from Lancaster recently I heard this on Sirius XM. The group "Mark 209" was sharing how they recorded this in a prison. Thought it powerful and promising a message for those feeling a little trapped or alone today...
He'd gotten used to living
On the outside looking in
Lonely was his only constant friend.
So when the invitation came
That clearly bore his name
He hardly could believe the words he read.
There is always a place at the table
There's a feast that's now waiting all your own
Your place is set each time the family gathers
It will never be the same til you're home.
She'd made so many choices
That had torn her life apart
And hurt the very ones she loved the most.
She didn't even know where someone could begin
Until she got this message from the host.
There is always a place at the table
There's a feast that's now waiting all your own
Your place is set each time the family gathers
It will never be the same til you're home.
Come home, come home.
My child, come home.
There is always a place at the table
There's a feast that's now waiting all your own
Your place is set each time the family gathers
It will never be the same
It will never be the same
It will never be the same til you are home.
Take a second and listen to this song by GVB. It will reassure you.
Plus the boys can flat out bring it.

Some days it IS good to remember that God leaves that space at the table for each of us…Especially after a bad one.
For we may have days when we feel isolated or that we have violated everything; every invitation and every opportunity. But GOD if faithful to keep that spot for us to return.
In fact all He asks of each of us it to REACH back out to Him when it has fallen apart, reach back out to Him even when we have rejected Him and wandered off, reach back out to Him when our choices have left us with consequences and damage.
And He takes it from there.
Does that describe you this morning?
Your invitation is there…your place is set.
Start by admitting that you don’t
…have this all together, that (you) have it made.
…reach out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for YOU. God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. (Philippians 2 MSG)
God is truly waiting with a spot at the table today.
A spot to sit, sup, share and engage.
Join Him.
It will never be the same.
“Our worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God's grace. And your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God's grace.” ― Jerry Bridges
I love you ALL!
