MINISTER

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“When awe of God has captured your heart, ministry will fill your schedule. You won’t need the church to schedule ministry for you; you will approach work, marriage, parenting, extended family, friendships, and community with a ministry mentality.” ― Paul David Tripp

Are you ready to approach today with a MINISTRY mentality?

For example are you ready to let your LIGHT shine?
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. – Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)

Far too often we do look to the “church” programming to get MINISTRY minded.  Instead GOD calls us to APPROACH each day as an opportunity to MINISTER, to GLORIFY Him!

…whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. – 1 Corinthians 10:31

So whatever means…
WHATEVER.

Glorify GOD in the way you work.
Glorify GOD with your attitude toward your co-workers.  Be mindful of their needs, seek opportunities to serve and love them.
Glorify GOD at home.
Honor your spouse.
Rub their feet even when yours are dog tired.
Maybe a cup of cocoa and warm blanket for them as they decompress on the couch.

Think about a friend you haven’t touched base with in a while.  Maybe a text?
Why not a call?  A handwritten note?
Maybe without reason affirm a co-worker or colleague.

Christmas is right around the corner, maybe a pretty flower arrangement for the receptionist or a anonymous gift-card in her inter-company mail.

Are you available for that friend who is “going through it?”
Maybe an invite to that Christmas program would be a breath of fresh air for them.
Got time to pray with them in the parking lot before you head out for the night?
I just had someone do that for me and it was refreshing and invigorating!
I was BLESSED because my friend chose to just MINISTER.

You are getting my point.

Remember our example in all of this...
Jesus.
…the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life – Matthew 20:28 (V)

To MINISTER.
To LOVE

He did it 24/7 365.
So can we…

Christianity is about learning to love like Jesus loved - Mullins
Christianity is about ministering like Jesus ministered - Delaney

I love you ALL!
