EVER-PRESENCENESS

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Lord, you know everything there is to know about me.

2 You perceive every movement of my heart and soul,

and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind.

3–4 You are so intimately aware of me, Lord.

You read my heart like an open book

and you know all the words I’m about to speak

before I even start a sentence!

You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.

5 You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way,

and in kindness you follow behind me

to spare me from the harm of my past.

With your hand of love upon my life,

you impart a blessing to me.

6 This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible!

Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength.

7 Where could I go from your Spirit?

Where could I run and hide from your face?

8 If I go up to heaven, you’re there!

If I go down to the realm of the dead, you’re there too!

9 If I fly with wings into the shining dawn, you’re there!

If I fly into the radiant sunset, you’re there waiting!

10 Wherever I go, your hand will guide me;

    your strength will empower me.

11 It’s impossible to disappear from you

or to ask the darkness to hide me,

for your presence is everywhere, bringing light into my night. – Psalm 139 1-11 (TPT)

Beautiful isn’t it?

I shared a portion of this passage this past Saturday with a dear group of folks many of whom were hurting and needing a little “reassurance”; a little “presence”

The event was called “More than a Number”.  It was designed and sponsored by an amazing CONNECTION organization called TAPU (The Addicts Parents United).  The group was formed by a momma whose boys are in active addiction, a momma who saw the need to link together families whose children had been lost to the disease of addiction as well as families who were living in fear that they would soon be similarly suffering.

It was a beautiful day.  Flowers were shared. Tears shared.  Embraces shared.  New friendships were made but most importantly HOPE was dispensed.

And I opened my prayer with verses 7 through 11 because I wanted EVERYONE in that gathering, believer or not, to KNOW that despite their hurts and pain, GOD was RIGHT there.

It is why I love, and I will be honest sometimes “not like” this passage. For it reminds me of GOD’s UNDYING devotion to me while sometimes punching me squarely in the face regarding my often-fleeting devotion to Him.

Yet in today’s context on the heels of some “real healing” that happened on Saturday, I want EACH of us to BASK in the “EVER-PRESENCENESS” of GOD today.

We CAN’T escape Him and that is a good thing.

So...
Are you feeling alone?

Are you reeling a little from the recent trials of life?

Pause. Breathe.

GOD is right here.

He is listening.

He is preparing a way through it.

He is INTIMATELY connected to you.

His portion of love and guidance for today is PERFECT.

Remember…

The one thing you absolutely need is the one thing you can never lose: God's presence and love for you. - Keke Palmer

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

LOVE YOU ALL
