SAY YES

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

James 4:8 MSG
Say a quiet yes to God and he'll be there in no time...

Last night while sharing with a budding church partnership in Kettering Ohio, I was reminded that GOD asks us daily to just say “YES”.

A few months back in anticipation of my daughter Samantha’s wedding, we sojourned to Atlanta and said “YES TO THE DRESS”.

You can find all about “Bridals by Lori” and the show by just GOOGLING it.
They are famous for having the “bride to be” who has likely tried on countless dresses, (I think we tried 5 before we found the winner) stand up on the runway platform and declare “YES to the DRESS” when the perfect one is discovered.

And I will be honest, I wasn’t thrilled with the prospect of going to the bridal store much less “saying YES” yet after seeing my little girl in the “YES” dress, I was powerless.  Not to be biased or anything but you would be hard pressed to find a more stunning bride to be. Just saying. *:) happy

And while the trip to Atlanta was great and the experience forever memorable, today we are granted a much greater opportunity to SAY YES.

Will we say "YES to the LORD" today?
This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?”  Romans 8:15 (MSG)
Greeting GOD with an EXPECTANT YES?
Will we?

So as I was saying I was reminded of this little acronym/lesson last night before I shared with the gathering.
In order to “SAY YES” to the Father we must:

Yield ourselves to the FATHER; allow the LORD’S will to be the guiding light and power for the day ahead.
“Yielding your inner life to God will empower you to live the kind of outer life that honors the Lord and blesses others.” ― Jim George

And after we yield to His will for the day, then we must carry it out in DEED Our words are important, but when we say YES to the LORD He is much more interested in “what we do” rather than what we say.

So will we be the…
Example of Jesus?
let us not love merely in theory or in words—let us love in sincerity and in PRACTICE! – 1 John 3:18 (PH)

And finally when we say YES to the LORD we say YES to His nature and that nature is to…
Serve!
the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve…Matthew 20:28 (ESV)

So the question is clear today.
Are we ready to SAY YES?
Ready to YIELD to the will of GOD?
Be an EXAMPLE of Jesus to the world by SERVING others?
Let’s say YES!
“Yes, Lord. I want Your courage to do what I feel You calling me to do.”
“Yes, Lord. I want and need more of You in every moment.” ― Lysa TerKeurst

Love you all…
