Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and
cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for
what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray.
Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Frangipane once remarked, “Jesus never said, "Woe to ye of ...too much faith." Too much
faith hasn't been a problem. Our problem has been believing too little.”
That cuts to the quick huh?
I don’t know if I have ever been accused of “too
much” faith, that I have “over-indulged” in the faith department.
Even though I have heard leaders like Mike Murdock
comment that GOD is not motivated by our need (Philippians
4:19) but by our faith. I still
get pretty “needy” most days in spite of that fact, the fact that says, “without faith it is impossible to please God” - Hebrews 11:6
(NIV)
So often I believe Jesus was clearly addressing me
when he uttered "O’ ye of little
faith.”
I am one of the “YE'S” for sure.
But the truth is having that overabundant faith is
not easy.
Not at all.
Adversity tries to drown it.
Circumstances try to upend it.
Problems try to cloud it.
Naysayers ridicule it.
Yet trusting GOD, having MORE faith than fear,
doesn’t go unnoticed or unrewarded. For the Bible also says, “He (GOD) rewards those who earnestly seek
him.” – the rest of Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
GOD does reward those who:
Seek Him faithfully in the adversity.
Seek Him faithfully in the circumstances.
Seek Him faithfully despite the problems.
Seek Him faithfully in the face of ridicule and
doubt.
The Lord is wonderfully good to those
who wait for him, to those who seek for him. – Lamentations 3:25 (TLB)
For...
“Faith is walking face-first and full-speed into the dark. If we truly
knew all the answers in advance as to the meaning of life and the nature of God
and the destiny of our souls, our belief would not be a leap of faith and it
would not be a courageous act of humanity; it would just be... a prudent
insurance policy.” - Gilbert
What in your life and circumstance could use a
little “full-speed” faith today?
Interview?
Have faith that GOD will help.
Conflict? Have faith that GOD will settle it.
Uncertainty? Trust that unknown future to a known
GOD as Ten Boom likes to say.
Remember what faith truly is… “it is the assurance of things you have hoped for, the
absolute conviction that there are realities you’ve never seen.” – Hebrews 11:1
(V)
So, maintain your HOPE – it is assured!
Cultivate your convictions even though you can’t
fully see the realities!
For as I have shared a time or two before,
“Trusting God completely means having faith that He knows what is best
for your life. You expect Him to keep His promises, help you with problems, and
do the impossible when necessary.” – Warren
And that is best done at FULL speed!
A BLESSED DAY!
LOVE YOU ALL
OPPORTUNITIES
for HOPE
