Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and
cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for
what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray.
Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
The name of the Lord (says the Scripture) is a strong tower; thither
the righteous flee and are safe (Proverbs 18:10).
Let us secure His favor and
He will lead us through the journey of this life and at length receive us to a
better. - Samuel Adams
That Proverbs says that the…
The CHARACTER of God is a tower of
strength,
for the lovers of God delight to run into his heart and be exalted on high. (TPT)
I know it seems a little odd to have the namesake
of one of the largest breweries in America as our opening “quote” today, but it
is a good one.
Our LORD is a strong tower; a place of safety and
refuge.
I have some friends in Gallia County, Ohio who have
leaned on that truth as the foundation for their RECOVERY ministry, that the
LORD is VISIBLE, rising above the CHAOS and NOISE of life; a beacon of SAFETY
and REFUGE for the exhausted, hurting, and troubled.
But I love what BOTH Solomon and Sam surmise.
That this TOWER is ACCESSIBLE!
No moat. No guarded drawbridge.
That at this TOWER we will encounter the CHARACTER of GOD.
GOD who is loving.
GOD who is gracious.
GOD who is merciful.
GOD who is wise.
GOD who is anxious to bestow favor and forgiveness.
GOD who is ready to BETTER US as Adams concludes.
The question is will we TRAVEL to this Tower
today?
All that is required for entry is to be a LOVER of
GOD.
Friends:
Righteousness peeks from its windows.
Favor is the front door.
Safety is in the foyer.
Refuge is knitted in the mortar.
I don’t know what you may be experiencing today,
but if you are feeling rickety, alone, or vulnerable, TRAVEL to the TOWER
today.
GOD wants to elevate you and your circumstances.
You LORD are a strong tower for those who are near and the trust of
those who go far. I have sought to come near you; I have called to you with all
my heart; and when I went out towards you, I found you coming towards me. –
Halvi
For...
You (LORD) take me and surround me with
yourself. Your glory covers me continually. You lift high my head… – Psalm 3:3
(TPT)
HAVE A BLESSED DAY!
LOVE YOU ALL
OPPORTUNITIES
for HOPE
