Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and
cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for
what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray.
Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
“Have to sow excellent seeds to have an excellent life. Must start with
sowing excellent thoughts.” ― John C. Maxwell
Are you sowing excellent THOUGHTS this morning?
Or is your brain drained by negativity?
Are you awake and receptive to GOD’S perspective
and Christ’s influence over your thinking?
Or does something else have your attention?
Now, I am not naive.
Tough homes, tough relationships, the consequence
of bad influences and poor decisions do sometimes serve to shape our
perceptions and our attitudes. I realize
that for some of you today the thoughts of “I can do it” or "I could do
that” are been shouted down by oppressive “I can’t thoughts” and “never will”
voices.
I get them myself!
But you/we have the power to change that!
Embrace the MIND of CHRIST!
(We) CAN DO everything God asks us to
with the help of Christ who gives us the strength and power. – from Philippians
4:13 (LB)
Turn a deaf synapse to the negative thoughts.
“Don’t let mental blocks control you. Set yourself free. (With the mind
of CHRIST) confront your fear and turn the mental blocks into building blocks.”
Adapted from “Words to inspire the winner in YOU” - Ropleen
Building blocks like:
...there IS NO condemnation for those
who belong to Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1 (NKJV)
You have been given a new birth. It was
from a seed that cannot die. This new life is from the Word of God which lives
forever. - 1 Peter 1:23 (NLV)
Meditate on those, let those dictate and have
“REIGN IN YOUR BRAIN”!
Remember:
YOU ARE a chosen generation… 1 Peter 2:9
(NKJV)
When anyone is in Christ, it is a whole
new world. The old things are gone; suddenly, everything is new! 2 Corinthians
5:17
Think on those!
I thought I would share this from Manning to wrap
up the today’s thought and the week:
Don’t just gloss over it. Read
it. Let it sink in. Let it shape a thought or two for you…
“For Paul, a new creation meant a total renovation of the inner self, a
change of MIND and heart.
To be “in Christ,” he told the Philippians means to have in you the
mind of Christ Jesus, to THINK as Christ THOUGHT, to have the ideals Christ
had, to throb with the desires that filled Christ’s heart, to replace all your
natural actions to persons, events, and circumstances with the response of Jesus
Christ.
In a word, a “Christo-centric” life means to live in the heart of
Jesus, to share His tastes and aversions, to have the same interests, affections,
and attitudes, to be motivated in everything by His loving compassion.
It means making the HABITUAL THOUGHT PATTERNS of Jesus Christ so
completely your own that truly “I (we) no longer live, but Christ lives in me
(us).” ― Brennan Manning…
Have A BLESSED DAY!
LOVE YOU ALL
