NEW SEASON...SAME GOD

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
It’s a new season…
It’s a new day…
A fresh anointing…
Is coming my way…
It’s a season of power and prosperity
It’s a new season coming for me…
Neat little lyric isn’t it?
While it would be cool for a minute to live in San Diego or Honolulu where the climate rarely changes, I have to admit I am a little old fashioned and like the seasons. There is a comforting rhythm to them isn’t there?
The holidays and the climate go hand in hand. Winter brings a fresh slate and New Year, spring the promise of newness and life a little golf and hope, the summer an air of freedom and expression and the fall a cornucopia of color and creativity.
Pastor Anna so eloquently shared this little thought Monday as she shared that little chorus and I wanted to pass the thought on to all of you today.
But it got me to thinking about GOD's presence. Whether we are in a season of freshness or season of trial, whether life seems to be bursting with blessing and triumph or resetting like the ground at harvest, GOD's hand is in all of it. And he asks us to acknowledge Him; praise Him for ALL of it.
Hebrews 13:15
Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name.
Our lives do indeed go through intense and amazing change. But GOD, our GOD is the one constant. Through the myriad of our seemingly endless changes, progressions, regressions movements and seasons in our lives, GOD remains steady, true and faithful. He is unchanging and perpetual.
1 Corinthians 10:13
All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll always be there to help you…
Thank Him for His constancy.
But don’t stop there this morning.
Also thank GOD for the wonderful way He has crafted the experiences and the seasons of our lives in order for us to share in the fullness of Him.
Colossians 1:16
For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
Why?
It is a new day!
Psalm 118:24
The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
I love you all
