INFINITE and FATHOMLESS - 6.5 POST

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Ever feel un-forgiveable? How about unloved?
I have some good news today.
GOD’s love? INFINITE!
GOD’s forgiveness? FATHOMLESS.
So take a deep breath. It will all be okay. GOD has you today.
Don’t believe me? Want the ultimate proof?
Remember He loves you so much that He GAVE you, pause there for a second, He GAVE you, JESUS!
And GOD did that to SHOW His infinite love and to make FATHOMLESS forgiveness possible. As the Bible says, God “loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1 John 4:10).
Hang your hat on that truth!
I needed a revolving door in my office yesterday. One right after another at least a dozen wondering if they had gone too far to be forgiven; wondering if the failures finally pushed them past the boundary of GOD’s love.
Good thing I could say the Bible and GOD says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3).
Good thing through Buttrick GOD reminds us, God does not wish us to remember what He chooses to forget.
So when you begin to “feel” unloved or un-forgiveable remember the infinite and fathomless and forgetful nature of GOD’s love and forgiveness.
Micah 7:19
…you will have compassion on us. You will tread our sins beneath your feet; you will throw them into the depths of the ocean!
That will bring you back right?
Especially after a day or series of days when you have perhaps not been at your best.
I mean let’s be real for a second. If someone treated us as badly as we’ve treated God, we’d probably strike back at them cash out on them or maybe even look to eliminate them.
But praise God He isn’t like us!
Hosea 11:9 (ESV)
For I am God and not a man …
He instead chooses to keep loving us in spite of us.
Romans 5:8 (LB)
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
Maybe you have been doing swimmingly. Maybe you are the one who has been basking in the presence of GOD and making the best of choices and the best of decisions. If so that is awesome. I applaud you and encourage you to bottle what you have been experiencing!
But if you are like the little cavalcade of folks I encountered yesterday or anything like the fella I just woke up to in the mirror, then wake up this morning GRATEFUL and BLESSED by the infinite love and fathomless forgiveness of GOD and humbly enter His presence for what HE has in store for this day!
“Remember He is the artist and you are only the picture. You can't see it. So quietly submit to be painted---i.e., keep fulfilling all the obvious duties of your station (you really know quite well enough what they are!), asking forgiveness for each failure and then leaving it alone. You are in the right way. Walk---don't keep on looking at it.” ― C.S. Lewis
Have an amazing weekend…
I love you all.
