WEARY WEDNESDAY

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

I will admit it this morning. I am tired.

I know YOU are likely tired too.  So I am not looking for sympathy but might be unabashedly seeking some EMPATHY.  I would even entertain some “commiseration” if that works.
But seriously it is a “weary Wednesday”.

Yesterday alone I was part of text messages, Facebook threads, and face to face meetings in far away locales and every one of them was “intense”.
Wearying.

Yet we live in an intense culture. Problems can seem and often are gargantuan; even “life and deathy” if you understand what I mean.  And when they come at you in waves, it can make you weary.

Praise GOD that as we are pressed into the problematic we can STILL HOPE, ALWAYS HOPE.  Praise GOD that when we are WEARY He still provides the ENERGY and STRENGTH we need!
Romans 8:26 (ESV) …the Spirit helps us in our weakness
Psalm 147:10-11(ESV)
His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man, but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.
Whew!

What are you facing today?

Feeling weary before you even walk out the door? Are the looming prospects and projects already serving to OVERWHELM?
Take heart!

GOD doesn’t expect you to “power up” on your own accord or expect you to slog through on your own grit or determination.  Quite the contrary is true.

GOD tells the WEARY to come and REST.  GOD says bring the heavy lifting His way and let Him take the lead.  GOD says I have all sufficiency of grace, mercy, power, process, intellect, opportunity, creativity, and insight for this day.  GOD says I got this, trust Me!
Psalm 34:19 (VOICE)
19 Hard times may well be the plight of the righteous—they may often seem overwhelmed—but the Eternal rescues the righteous from what oppresses them.
Take heart in that promise my weary warriors and wanderers.

Turn the day over to GOD.  Seriously TURN THE DAY over!
“Dedication is writing your name on the bottom of a blank sheet of paper and handing it to the Lord for Him to fill in” ― Renner

Let Him lead. Let Him energize. Let Him offer the impetus!
Take a moment NOW to pause, reach up and reach out.  Get quiet before the LORD. Ask Him for what you need for today.
He will energize you!

“We can be tired, weary and emotionally distraught, but after spending time alone with God, we find that He injects into our bodies energy, power and strength.” ― Charles F. Stanley

No more WEARY WEDNESDAY here!

I love you all.
Have a GREAT DAY!
