OUT OF THE BOX

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Had a chance to emerge from the kitchen and into the fellowship Saturday with a little group of men called the “Grooms” ministry or GROOMSmen.  A little change in format afforded me the chance to worship and listen.

One of our staff Pastors from AHOP, Bob, challenged us to “take GOD out of the BOX”.  He challenged us to not try to put measurements or boundaries on what GOD can do but to rather BELIEVE that with man things often seem impossible, but with GOD all things are possible.

Need peace?

Don’t limit GOD’s peace, it passes all understanding.

Need joy?

Don’t box GOD in. His joy is UNSPEAKABLE and MORE than ABUNDANT.

1 Peter 1:8 (MSG)

You can’t see him (CHRIST) now, but you believe in him. You are filled with a wonderful and heavenly joy that cannot be explained.

Too many times we try to control God, simply because we don’t have enough faith or aren’t willing to RELINQUISH control.  We limit or try to measure the Creator of the universe. 

How silly! 

Let’s instead this morning resolve to take a fresh look at who our Heavenly Father really is. Let’s open the package! Let’s choose to know Him, embrace ALL of His character, to trust Him fully with this day, its times, its comings and goings. Let’s give ourselves over to His perfect will.

Let Him set the tempo for today.

Let Him provide the insight and direction.

Take Him from the box and let Him lead!

Psalms 37:23

The steps of a good man (woman) are ordered by the LORD: and he/she delights in the way!

Let’s do that!

Let’s delight in His ways!

And why not?

For when we release Him from this “box” when we delight in Him, He promises to give us the desires of our hearts.

For when we trust Him with our lives, He implants in us a desire for the very things He wants us to have, which are certainly far better than anything we could choose. (Ephesians 3:20)

I don’t believe there is any greater gift we could give to the Lord that to release Him to reign and HAVE HIS WAY; His measureless WAY!
