SEVEN STEPS

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“Seven Steps to Success
1) Make a commitment to grow daily.
2) Value the process more than events.
3) Don't wait for inspiration.
4) Be willing to sacrifice pleasure for opportunity.
5) Dream big.
6) Plan your priorities.
7) Give up to go up.” ― John C. Maxwell

Sometimes it is good to have some “practical” inspiration as we embark on a new day. And Mr. Maxwell has done a good job for so long in inspiring leaders; I thought we would lean a little on him today. In fact I had the privilege to share this little 7 step “helper” yesterday with a friend and it proved insightful and helpful for them, so why not all of us?

So go back over those 7 again.

Are you ready to pursue growth today?
You will be blessed if you do!
Matthew 5:6 (ESV)
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

What does it mean to value the process you ask?
It means to realize that not everything today will go smoothly, but that whatever happens we can trust GOD for the process; it has purpose
Silver and gold are purified by fire, but God purifies hearts.
Proverbs 17:39 (LB)

You know GOD is prepared to inspire you today; prepared to set your priorities, keep you on track, and fulfill your dreams?
The question is have you paused to align with Him?
Have you opened your heart and mind?
Have you decided to…
2 Corinthians 5:9 (LB)
…aim to please him always in everything…?

Do that and your priorities will become clearer, today’s process more understandable, the inspirations more tangible, and the dreams more attainable.
Remember:
God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.– Ephesians 3:20 (LB)

Yet it is Maxwell’s last little bit of instruction that I believe the toughest sometimes.  It is encouraging us to “surrender the day”. We are ALL reminded that…
…to live is Christ and to die is gain. – Philippians 1:2 (NIV)
And genuine surrender is embracing a personal sovereign preference for Jesus Christ over ourselves.

Not and easy ask, but if we truly want to experience growth, inspiration not to mention our dreams, it is necessary!

So…
Pause and go back over those 7 one more time.
Give them a try today.
See what happens.

I believe that today can and will be a success!

I love you all!
Be blessed!
