ENTRUST YOUR DREAMS

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Got some dreams?

Got big plans?

Got some aspirations?

Have you talked to GOD about them?

You see, GOD has a wonderful strategy when it comes to our aspirations and our DREAMS.

Yesterday afternoon I had the wonderful privilege of sitting for a piece of pie (rarely do I meet with anyone these days without at least coffee and if there is pie, that is a much-welcomed bonus) with a new friend and colleague who has a vision of a recovery residence for women called Christ’s Center for Hope.  This has been a dream that has ruminated in her heart and spirit for more than a decade.  She has felt drawn and called to nurture women from brokenness to healing to wholeness; a worthy dream and aspiration for sure.

And while her dream has not yet become a reality, she is WELL on her way and our partners and team are planning to walk with her to fan her flame, lift her arms and affirm her heart!

And I would love nothing more than for some time down the road to be at a ribbon cutting at her shiny new center where women will experience the love of Christ.  So, I am going to keep dreaming right along with her and countless others who have had dreams planted and are chasing them.

Yet what I appreciate most about B.B, the pursuer of this dream, is that she not only received her dream from the Father but she has fully COMMITTED her dream TO THE FATHER!

And THAT is a wise APPROACH for dreams and aspirations! 

For when we trust and fully commit to GOD’s plan for our lives and ENTRUST GOD with the DREAMS and the desires of our heart, and are then FAITHFUL to follow His direction and His plan, He promises some pretty amazing stuff! 

Open up before God, keep nothing back; he’ll do whatever needs to be done: He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with approval at high noon. Psalm 37:5-6 (MSG)

So why not share openly with GOD the desires of your heart, your DREAMS?

Now I am not saying to walk up to GOD and say, “I trust you for a million dollars” and expect a million dollars to fall from the sky. Like we have shared before, GOD isn’t our supernatural vending machine.

But GOD will examine the desires of our heart and if we will listen to Him, He will begin to move us and those dreams into alignment with HIS WILL and HIS perfect direction for lives. HE will show us the way.  And He will astound us. 

…his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes. – Ephesians 3:20 (LB)

So, talk with GOD about your dreams!

Aspire to them!

Commit them to GOD!

For when our dreams and GOD’s dreams for us come into alignment, when we trust His perfect will for our lives, GOD will astonish us.
