OLD HAPPENS

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“I don't know where you are or what you’ve done, but I know this for sure: you can have a fresh start today. There’s an Enemy who would have you believe that you're stuck and there is no hope for change in your life. But Jesus' spilled blood cries out, “You can turn! I will come to you a second time, and a third, and a fourth, and for however long it takes." – Paul David Tripp

Boy oh boy, I have felt that way some days.  Monday's? Yes.
How about you?

That by the time the sun sets, and you have a second to catch your breath, you look back on all that you have said and done you realize that it wasn’t a “red letter day” by any stretch.
Anger won.
Apathy won.
Frustration won.
Sin won.
Selfishness won.

It is at the close of those days that I am grateful for pending sunrises and unending grace.

For I wake today to a FRESH start.
I wake today to GOD’s grace that is beyond anything that I could conjure or understand.
I wake today to the hope that is the CROSS; the hope that is CHRIST; and the grace to TURN and TRY AGAIN!

Yes, TRY AGAIN. Why?
“God uses people who fail—'cause there aren't any other kind around.” ― John C. Maxwell

So, if yesterday wasn't "red letter", let's embrace the FRESH START!
“When you arise in the morning think of what a privilege it is to be alive, to think, to enjoy, to love ...” ― Marcus Aurelius

And get right back to the “work” GOD has called us to do.
Galatians 6:9 (AMP)
And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

Our Pastor Mark lamented a little during his talk yesterday that “OLD HAPPENS” And that is most certainly true.

So, we can’t be dwelling on past errors, missteps, or the errors.
For there CERTAINLY is ALWAYS hope, there is ALWAYS possibility! (Matthew 19:35) even in our failures.

Our job is to never fail to KEEP striving, KEEP trying, KEEP hoping, KEEP moving, and to KEEP LIVING!

Mother Teresa said that…
“Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

Old is most certainly going to happen.
Failures are inevitable.
Therefore, embrace your fresh start at LIVING today!

And...
Seize the wonder and uniqueness of today! Recognize that throughout this beautiful day, you have an incredible amount of opportunities to move your life into the direction you want it to go.”  - Steve Maraboli

I love you all!
HAVE A BLESSED DAY!
OPPORTUNITIES for HOPE
