ENGAGE!

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
ARE YOU SEEKING?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
Some days this ministry affords me little unexpected blessings. Yesterday was one of those “unexpected times.”
I was teasing Pastor Mark, our Senior Pastor at AHOP, yesterday because he sometimes makes me feel like the first runner up at Ms. America or something because he often taps me on the shoulder to make appearances when he is unable to fulfill the duties of “his crown”.
But yesterday was an important day for Mark and his family as little Judah was scheduled for an important surgery, so I was happy to play first runner up. J
And my oh my, what a blessing it turned out to be.
I had the privilege joining other community pastors at the GREENE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL’S Prayer Breakfast.
It was a wonderful event. Great music and one of our AHOPPERS received an award. It was great.
But the real blessing came when I was given the chance to go around the RADIOLOGY center at GMH with ROXANNE and Pastor Ken and pray over the work, the rooms and patients. That was very cool.
We prayed for one who had just lost her mom, another who had been through a recent trial, for one who was lying still in one of the nuclear medicine machines and didn’t even know we were there.
We just prayed. We engaged GOD. And it was a great start to the day!
It was a wonderful experience.
Got me to thinking about what to say today. And it is simply this. Why not do that every day; bring everything that is on your plate to GOD today.
Tough meeting coming up? Pray about it.
Scary exam? Pray about it.
Conflict with a co-worker that won’t go away? Pray about it.
GOD wants you to.
Romans 12:1-2
[ Place Your Life Before God] So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.
You see GOD wants us to reach out to Him constantly. He wants to guide us, direct us, counsel us, encourage us, and engage with us.
So why not do it?
1 Peter 1:17
…call out to God for help and hehelps—he's a good Father that way
.
So nothing “super revolutionary”today. No deep insights or theological dispensation.
Let’s just take that scripture to heart put our lives before GOD.
Have a blessed day!
I love you all.
