HE IS PEACE

Have you thanked Him?

Have you praised Him?

Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?

Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?

ARE YOU SEEKING?

1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)

^1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“... if you don't have peace, it isn't because someone took it from you; you gave it away. You cannot always control what happens to you, but you can control what happens in you.” – John Maxwell

Take a hard look at that little quote and ask yourself, “Have I given away my peace?”

It is true that circumstances in life shift inexplicably.

“Stuff” happens. The “wind” alters direction and what was a sunny outlook can turn gray and foreboding in a matter of minutes.

We all know that life’s road is not one that is straight and predictable. Just the contrary is true. There are hairpin turns, unexpected dips, and obstacles that fall in our path all along the way. And all of them can turn what was a leisurely trip into a “white-knuckler” of a journey. And those unexpected detours and hazards can frazzle the calmest of characters and unsettle the most even keeled.

Over the past few weeks some of those who are closest to me have suddenly encountered some very difficult and hazardous terrain on their road. Unforeseen circumstances have rocked their worlds and it has them reeling. They need some peace.

And today I want to offer reassurance from the PRINCE OF PEACE.

John 14:27

²⁷"my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world does. So don't let your hearts be troubled or afraid.

Paul reminds all of us that JESUS Himself is our peace.

Ephesians 2:14

¹⁴Christ himself is our peace.

Never forget, we worship Jehovah-shalom which translates as “THE LORD IS PEACE”.

Focus on that IS with me for just a second.

GOD is our peace. Always. 24/7. Always "on". Always available, PEACE!

There is no circumstance, no obstacle and no unexpected turn in life that can alter that truth.

OUR GOD IS PEACE.

Our GOD who understands EVERY circumstance we are facing, who knows exactly the nature of the obstacles of life that have us off-balance, confused, overwhelmed and off-kilter IS the peace we seek.

Not HAS some peace for us.

Pay close attention to that.

HE IS THE PEACE.

GOD has not been caught off guard by your circumstance. The dip in the road did not catch Him by surprise.

And yes while it may seem very simple and is not overly profound, He IS the peace you seek. You need not ASK for it. It is there for the CLAIMING!

Let me say it again. CLAIM YOUR PEACE! It is infinitely and immediately accessible. Don't let IT slip through you fingers!

RIGHT NOW. RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE. RIGHT IN THIS MOMENT. CLAIM your PEACE!

Please, don’t let life’s circumstances and unexpected twists ever force you to relinquish the peace that is yours. CLAIM IT!
