RESTORING GOD

Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
ARE YOU SEEKING?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

Ephesians 2:1

The Message (MSG)
1-6It wasn't so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn't know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It's a wonder God didn't lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.
I love this passage. It is the promise for the prodigal and the hope for the “too far gone.”
It breaks me down perfectly.
There I was, disobedient and so full of the world. Lured in and captivated by the world; its cash, its pace, its stuff, its highs, its eye candy; polluted and pathetic.
I could have been the poster child for “doing what we felt like doing”.
And I will be honest, there are days when I am amazed that GOD didn’t lose His temper and with a quick stroke while sitting at the bar fry me to the seat with a well-timed and accurate shot of lightning.
Lord knows I deserved it. But that is why I love this verse.
It reminds us that we have a merciful GOD.
It reminds us that we have a loving GOD.
It reminds us that we have a forgiving GOD.
It reminds us that we have a restoring GOD.
It reminds us that no matter how far we may run, have far we may fall, or how deep we may sink, we are never beyond restoration because of CHRIST!
Romans 8:39
…neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Every day I chat with folks that believe that they are “too far gone”, that GOD has forgotten them, written them off, struck them from the record, and given up them. But that is not the truth at all. GOD is a GOD of restoration! We just have to "get up from the bar" so to speak and come back to Him.
Joel 2:13-14
…Come back to God, your God.
And here's why: God is kind and merciful.
He takes a deep breath, puts up with a lot,
This most patient God, extravagant in love,
always ready to cancel catastrophe.
The depth of JESUS’ love for us is NEVER EXHAUSTED. GOD’s love does not run out, even when we “mired”in a stagnant pattern of sin and rebellion. GOD is always there, waiting for us to turn around, be honest, to repent and return to Him.
Lamentations 3:22-24
God's loyal love couldn't have run out, his merciful love couldn't have dried up. They're created new every morning. How great your faithfulness!
Feel like you have gone too far?
Come back. Repent.
Hosea 14:1
…Return to your God! You're down but you're not out.
Prepare your confession
and come back to God.
Pray to him, "Take away our sin,
accept our confession.
He will restore you.
Have a blessed day!
I love you all.
