Have you thanked Him?
Have you praised Him?
Have you made it your priority to agree and cooperate with Him today?
Have you taken that deep breath and listened for what He has for you today?
1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.
The Spirit can MAKE life. Sheer muscle and willpower don’t make anything happen. Every word I’ve spoken to you is a Spirit-word, and so it is life-making. – John 6:63
Good verse to start the week.
Why?
It reminds me that no level of brute force or “intellectual” muscle compares to the way that GOD’S Spirit can move the needle this week; how HE can MAKE life!
I know I have some deadlines.
I know I have a little damage control to do.
There are some changes to make.
There is some preparation and potential stress with some upcoming “stuff”.
And I am also sure your week looks the same; just the nature of our “weeks” right?.
So can I encourage us both to grab some SPIRIT Words to help?
For the anxiousness that accompanies the deadlines:
Ecclesiastes 8:6 (NLV)
...there is a right time and way for everything, even if a man’s trouble is heavy upon him.
For the fear that surrounds some of the damage control efforts…
...God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and love and a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:7 (PH)
For the changes?
Place your trust in the Eternal (in GOD); rely on Him completely; never depend upon your own ideas and inventions. Give Him the credit for everything you accomplish, and He will smooth out and straighten the road that lies ahead. Proverbs 3:5-6 (VOICE)
For the planning, the prep and the meetings, the SPIRIT will breathe life into them and guide them. He will!
Proverbs 21:5 (NLT)
Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity...
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. - Philippians 4:6 (TLB)
The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way – Proverbs 14:8 (ESV)
So the prudent plan for today (and every day) is to ALLOW the WORD, GOD’S life-giving SPIRIT WORD to define the path, to set the tone, to craft the schedule and to help discern the best.
“Oh that we would hunger to be filled with the Word of God; for there is no greater armor, no greater strength, no greater assurance that He is with us, and in us, when we go forth in battle equipped and nourished by His instruction and determined to stand firm on His promises.” ― Billy Graham…
Have a blessed “SPIRIT WORD” led day!
I love you all!
